January 9, 2009. Old Painting revisited.
The underpainting on this piece is an abstracted photocollege of the clock at the Musee D’Orsay in Paris. It’s one from a series of 5 abstracted paintings I made using photos I took while living in Europe in 2004.  I never felt they were quite finished. No time like the present, right?  In upcoming weeks/months, I will feature the others, also revisited in a 30 minute time period.

Medium:  India ink (over), Oil, Masonite Board (poorly cut in the University woodshop)

Enjoy your Friday night. H.

Medium: Watercolor and Ink on Paper.
