January 9, 2009. Old Painting revisited.
The underpainting on this piece is an abstracted photocollege of the clock at the Musee D’Orsay in Paris. It’s one from a series of 5 abstracted paintings I made using photos I took while living in Europe in 2004.  I never felt they were quite finished. No time like the present, right?  In upcoming weeks/months, I will feature the others, also revisited in a 30 minute time period.

I was travelling on the east coast with nothing cardboard and pens to my name for the first few days of the new year.

January 5, 2009.  The caption on the back of this painting reads: “Remember the time when I had a house but I couldn’t find Home?” Moving four times in 10 months kind of sucked.
